An entertaining, scorched earth audio interview, where he calls Martin Scorsese a "has been", Spike Jonze a "fraud" and Francis Coppola a "fat pig" among other chestunuts--

He had to be stoned when he did this interview. He calls Sofia Coppola a whore and says Abel Ferrera was on crack.
Classy guy.

If I ever see Sofia I'm gonna say "Hey, baby..." and see what happens.

haha, I love Vincent Gallo. I disagree with, and sometimes even hate the things he says, but it's very amusing and entertaining. Plus I love his music, and Buffalo '66.

I can't imagine what he has to say about Spielberg, Lucas, Cameron, Fincher, and Micheal Bay.

I don't think he would consider them worthy of his thoughts.

He took over some movie 2 years ago, getting the director fired, rewriting the whole script and changing the name of the film.

That guy is arrogant and he's only done one good movie in my opinion.
"Gallo retorted by calling Ebert a "fat pig with the physique of a slave trader" and put a hex on Ebert, wishing him colon cancer. Ebert then responded, paraphrasing a statement once made by Winston Churchill that "although I am fat, one day I will be thin, but Mr. Gallo will still have been the director of The Brown Bunny." Regarding Gallo's alleged hex, Ebert quipped "the video of my colonoscopy is more entertaining than your movie," a comment that Gallo later claimed to find funny."
Thats hilarious

Maybe he can salvage his career with a big budget sequel... The Brown Colon Bunny. I'm seeing a 21st century Fantastic Voyage type of film. IMAX 3D. Fun for the whole family. Plenty of opportunity for tasteless fart jokes.

Gallo obviously has a lot of emotion, and is secure enough as an artist to let people know what he thinks. Interview made me want to see his last movie, brown whatever. <3 Buffalo '66

I'd steer clear of him just based off his performance! rogar-BigGrin(DBG)
I will say this, he sh*t talks Spike Jonze, but c'mon, Video Days is a great skate video.

He was in NZ recently, on the news at the airport, running away from invisible fans.
His own films are s hit, The Brown Bunny where whats her name sucks his dick...I mean..yeh...great movie...not.
Arrogant and talentless, has made nothing meritable.

Felt the same. In this interview he clearly knows what he's saying. The "punches" he's giving to some directors are for publicity's sake. I think he doesn't take the media and his public persona very seriously- hence the "blow" and "I'm doing it only for the money" comments. He gets serious on the "Jews" comment, which is probably the most sensitive matter in the whole interview, and he actually gives a very rational response.
As for his retirement, he recently acted in a Coppola movie...
A very, very interesting persona, and I am one of those that really liked Buffalo 66. Haven't seen the Brown Bunny, but am very curious to see it.
